Listening to some old music and happen to come across Bush’s “Glycerin”. How did I not pick up on how terrible their lyrics are?
I’m never alone, I’m alone all the time
are you at one, or do you lie
We live in a wheel, were everyone steals
but when we rise it’s like straberry feilds
I treated you bad, you bruised my face
Couldn’t love you more, you got a bueatiful taste….How about their other big hit, “Machinehead”
Breathe in breathe out
Tied to a wheel fingers got to feel
Bleeding through a tourniquet smile
I spin on a whim slide to the right
I felt you like electric light
…
Got a machinehead better than the rest
Green to red machinehead
I walk from my machineThey are really addicted to this wheel theme. I can only make an assumption as to what this machine is, a traffic light.
“Everything Zen” tops it all off with an intro like no other:
There must be something we can eat
It was the 90s. You didn’t need lyrics, you just needed to be depressed, kinda hot, with mediocre singing ability.
